Zinc oxide is often used as a foaming agent in EVA foamed materials, which can enhance the activity of vulcanization accelerators as well as the thermal conductivity of rubber, and reduce the decomposition temperature of foaming agents.

Its properties such as small particle size, uniform distribution, large specific surface area, better dispersion with stability, and higher activity than ordinary zinc oxide, can speed up the foaming rate of EVA, and greatly improve the micro-properties of EVA material such as foaming density, rebound performance, mechanical properties and cell number.
