Used in rubber shoes, rain boots, rubber gloves, and other protective equipment, nano zinc oxide can extend the service life of these products and improve their appearance and color. In transparent or colored rubber products, it plays an irreplaceable role that traditional activators such as carbon black cannot match. In airtight sealants, gaskets, and other products, it also has a positive effect on improving the wear resistance and sealing performance of the products.
During the vulcanization process, zinc oxide reacts with accelerators, sulfur, stearic acid, rubber macromolecular chains, and corresponding intermediate products, demonstrating its complex activating and promoting effects. As a vulcanization activator, zinc oxide significantly influences the formation rate, type, and quantity of chemical cross-links during vulcanization, enhancing the cross-linking degree of the vulcanized rubber.
